About Us
Diana Divine (they/she)
This initiative is run by Diana Divine, an SA-based performer, producer, instructor, mentor, advocate, designer, and stage manager who has been practising burlesque since 2015. Diana is a staunch supporter of community initiatives, aiming to encourage collaborative and kind attitudes within an industry that can be cut-throat by nature.
Diana is supported by a small rotating team of project-based volunteers.
Why the awards?
There are many opportunities to be celebrated for what we put onstage. Often the people supporting the community come from behind the scenes and adjacent practices, for which there is no formal title or recognition. The awards aim to recognise every valuable role within the community, beyond just what our audiences see.

Why the calendar?
Burlesque is booming – most weekends there are at least two shows or workshops happening. For audiences, the calendar is a one-stop burlesque date night planner. For producers, it’s free advertising and a chance to check for potential date clashes.
